I started to do this, but no matter what happens, you need two hands. It just flops around too much. Read more

sounds about right, the midwestern pallet is weird. I don’t know if there was some kind of spice shortage right when all our regional dishes were being created but anything unique to the midwest is generally bland as hell and the uniqueness comes from the preparation. For instance the Indiana specialty of the pork Read more

Is Wawa’s located anywhere other than eastern/central Pennsylvania? I did a double-take at “located mainly throughout the East coast” — maybe they’re in states south of Pennsylvania or have entered NY or NJ? Unless they’re expanding, I doubt Casey’s has anything to worry about. Also, the love for gas-station pizza in Read more

I disagree here. Some start out bad. Like, immediately bad. I don’t think you read the article at all which I totally understand lmao. Read more

I’m of the opinion that the “Spicy Sweet Chili” Doritos (the ones in the purple bag) are the cream of the crop, but I’ll have to try the salsa verde ones. Read more

Second to the “All Terrain Bocce” (I never knew Bocce had a court until I was in my 30's in Philadelphia). Growing up in Upstate NY in the Finger Lakes region this was a great way to spend a summer afternoon between boating and swimming...always lost the little ball so there was some variation of a replacement (empty Read more

I love bocce yet for some reason cornhole is part of the expectations being upper midwestern like camo hoodies, goatees, never removed ball caps, pick up trucks and backwards politics.   Read more

I don’t know if the two ever coexisted to compare, but the Nacho was an intensely salty but still cheesy delight. I absolutely acknowledge that nostalgia might be Read more

I am completely addicted to Herr’s Fire Roasted Sweet Corn popcorn and get the boxes of the “snack size” packs of it shipped to Northern California. I found it at Walgreens two years ago - and haven’t been able to find it in a store out here since.  It works out to about a $1 a bag - 100% worth it. Read more

Grandma Utz are my favorite chip. For some reason, I haven’t been able to find them in the supermarket I usually go to (DMV area). A snack I like is taking the Grandma Utz and dipping them into JIF peanut butter. The don’t break as much as the other UTZ chips due to the thickness. I used to make sandwiches with any Read more

I gifted my sister a case Utz one year (mostly salt n vinegar) because we live in CA now. Man, she was happy. Also take advantage every trip I make to NYC or DMV area. The only thing I can get out here are the cheese balls. And I’ve been banned from buying those more than once a year because my fiancee finds it too Read more
